Uday Kalluri  (born 11 January) is a software engineer by profession and an actor by passion.

With his breakthrough performance as a dancer and an entertainment artist in many Cultural Associations of Greater Toronto (2004), Uday has been brought to the attention of mainstream South Asian audiences in the North America. Uday has been steadily working on both stage and screen since the released of his first dance video (2006). Uday has acquired appreciation all over the North America through his charismatic performances full with energy, flexible dance moves, and brilliant expressions. Some of the prestigious North American organizations such as Carassauga festival, Panorama India, Colours of India, Cultural show organized by the Indian Student Association (ISA) at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), Pangaea Uniting Nations at UOIT, Telugu Cultural Association of Greater Toronto (TCAGT), Telugu Association of Canada (TACA), Telugu Association of North America USA (TANA) and America Telugu Association USA (ATA) provided a platform to unveil this emerging star, Uday Kalluri. Eventually, through his debut feature film he also discovered himself as filmmaker, choreographer, model, lyricist, script and story writer.

Early life

Uday Kalluri was born in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh and raised in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His mother tongue is Telugu and he is affluent in spoken and written Hindi. His father, Sivaraj Kalluri, is a doctorate in Chemistry and his mother, Kamala Turaga Kalluri, is an IT professional. He has a younger sister. The family migrated to Toronto, Canada, when Uday was only 16 years old. He continued his education at Middlefield Collegiate Institute in Markham, followed by Software Engineering Honours B.Eng., at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

As a child, Uday was known to be super-active, creative and a multi-talented child. He has been actively participating in many recreational and cultural programs since the age of 5 at school and in other cultural organizations. Uday was also enrolled in many athletic activities at school including cricket and basketball. Born to steal the show, he never had any fear to face the masses while performing in large crowds or speaking in public. With a passion in acting, dancing and filmmaking since early ages, he spent his teens and early twenties strengthening these skills. After the completion his B.Eng (2013), he is currently working full time as an IT professional while pursuing his rapture for acting, dancing, modeling, and filmmaking enormously. He welcomes any chances to collaborate and produce social cinema for the greater good and to pass on the traditional values to the second generation Indians.
